Niners with a 27-7 victory. Garoppolo was 13/21 for 154 yards, 1 TD and a rushing TD. Was sacked once. Trey Lance ran three times for 13 yards. He runs like a fullback, heads down. Probably worked out well his single year in the FCS division. Not so well in the NFL...Lance was carted off on the driving stretcher, broken ankle, out for the year.
One oddity: Lance and Garropolo had virtually identical passer ratings, though Garoppolo had a QB Rating of 60.6, and Lance's QB Rating was 51.2.
Defense didn't give up a point and took the ball away on two interceptions and a two recovered fumbles. Bosa, two sacks and two tackles for loss and five QB hits, Givens three tackles for loss. Special teams was excellent, except Seattle ran back a blocked extra point for a touchdown. They gave up 15 yards yards per carry on three kick returns and zero on the only punt return. Gould was 2/3 on FGs and 3/3 on XPs. Wishnowsky averaged 44 yards on three punts, two of the three inside the 20. Jeff Wilson and Deebo Samuel, very impressive, Brandon Aiyuk did well, Tyrion Davis Price unimpressive. Danny Gray targeted twice, no catches.
