Never been a of immense proportions Garoppolo fan, but cut him some slack. How much time has he had with the team? Three plus weeks? With the first team? Just about a week? Yeah, he looked really rusty. Then again, where was the running game?

He’s had years with the first team.  If he plays below average as opposed to putrid, they win. I’ve never seen an NFL QB walk out of the back of the EZ.  Throw in fumbling a snap and two 4th Q ints, along with a slew of off target throws and you have a performance worthy of being labeled “putrid”.

Okay. Putrid. He did have surgery on his shoulder, correct? His throwing shoulder, correct? He had no reps with a team of any sorts until the week before the first game, correct? Then none or few with the first team before the second game, correct? I'll give him a couple more weeks to let him get back to his old, game manager self.

And yes, I've seen QBs step out of the back of the end zone before.
