Watching some games Saturday with full stadiums, fans on their feet, EUTM everywhere.

Stanford stadium atmosphere, on TV at least, seems like a cricket grounds.

If you want to feel a little bit better, if schadenfreude is your thing, check out the Rose Bowl this coming Friday in a very important game between the #15 team in the nation and an undefeated "home" team ostensibly still grasping for the brass ring and see how many empty/lifeless seats there are.

Anyway, don't disagree with your point at all, just anticipating the next embarrassment for any notions the Pac-12 is a football conference.

You're right, the Rose Bowl looks like a ghost town. They got 29k for a home game against South Alabama. That's the result mostly of 8 straight crappy or mediocre seasons. 

Then look at resurgent Oregon State's home game against USC over the weekend. Notice not one empty seat, everyone standing, in the student sections and areas behind the team sidelines. Packed like a premier league match in England. 

Another example of a loser mentality is downsizing of stadiums. Like Stanford reducing capacity from the previous 85K to 50K. That's what loser programs who downgrade their teams do instead of the harder job of building and maintaining a winning program and putting more fans in seats.

If I may remind the Stanford fans here of something. A football player is on an athletic scholarship not an academic one. They come here to play football. We compete against other Pac-12 programs, Notre Dame, etc., not the Ivy League. There are minimum NCAA academic requirements for eligibility and transfer rules. How about we follow those rules and not try to fight with one arm tied behind our backs.
