I agree with not having Shaw as AD. Maybe some role in Development or give him a random office in the AD building ala Montgomery and pawn him off to Kal when the time comes.

Remember Howie Dallmar? When losing and his drinking became too much of an embarrassment they put him in charge of intramurals.

I wonder if that caused his early departure from the NBA at the age of 26?  I know it did for Joe Fulks.  Two all star years at age 28 and 29, an ok year at 30, virtually gone at 31.
