The Niners' Defense is not #1 in the NFL without Armstead and Bosa playing. And that doesn't even address the Moseley injury. Most yards allowed all season when both were out more than half the game.
The OL did pretty well vs. Carolina. It's clear Jaylen Moore is a downgrade from Trent Williams, but he was not terrible. I found it most interesting that they had effectively a three Guard rotation, subbing Brunskill in for Burford and Banks throughout the game. Nobody asked Shanahan about why, so if anyone learns why, please post.
The Special Teams are not very tight. Allowed two blocked FGs this year (one ruined a shutout), and two 40+ yard KO returns that forced Gould to make tackles at Carolina.
It was nice to see Kittle get involved as a receiver, and liked the fact they got Jimmy out of the pocket on several occasions.
One note on Moseley. That injury - if it can be overcome by Niners with other guys - may end up being good for the team because it probably means they will re-sign him for less than he would have earned otherwise. Of course, it sucks for Moseley as he will lose a lot of money on the other side of that equation.
It's also clear Christian McCaffrey has not lost any ability due to his leg injuries. Still has the quickness, speed, and power that made him a Top 10 pick. Carolina probably now wishes they traded for Garoppolo. Might a Trey vs. Jimmy game have led to a different winner???
