Miller has been injured for two weeks. He was injured on the third play of the Washington game. It looked pretty bad - he was carted off. However, Shaw has not suggested that it is season-ending. He strangely announced that Miller was questionable for last Saturday's game, but he's below doubtful and not even on the depth chart for this Saturday's game. Maybe it's a high ankle sprain and/or he experienced a setback.
Shaw was fairly definitive on Tuesday that Metcalf would be getting a start this Saturday. He's had a great camp and prepared himself at both Center and Guard... yada yada. The only scenario where he doesn't start is if Rogers can play, which sounded doubtful. I know that Metcalf was dealing with a lower-leg / ankle issue because I saw him go down at the open practice, two weeks before the season started. He spent about half an hour on the trainer's table.
Shaw was asked specifically about Farrell, and the answer was a euphemistic version of DNP-CD. Not injured.
