Question:  What has to happen for Stanford to exceed expectations.  Who needs to step up?

The obvious answer is "everyone," but aside from supporting cast, Ingram has to re-establish that he is "THE GUY."

Ingram's stats in our final 10 conference games (last 8 regular season + 2 Pac-12 tourney games):

• 33.3 mpg
  
• 38.2% 2pt / 32.3% 3pt / 40% FT (yikes!)
  
• 9.0 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 4.0 apg
  
• 3.0 TOpg (yikes!)
  
• Stanford record: 2-8
  

Do these stats scream "Pac-12 freshman of the year" or "THE GUY" to anyone here? They certainly don't to me. He didn't even average double-digit points, couldn't shoot the ball very well especially at the line, and led the team in TOs (though on a per-minute basis Silva was right there with him). He continued to be a good facilitator and rebounder overall, though. A great glue guy, but not THE GUY when we needed him to be.

In fact, Wazzu's Mouhamed Gueye won Pac-12 frosh of the week THREE TIMES to Ingram's one in this time period. Gueye was THE GUY down the stretch, while Ingram played his way out of the NBA draft buzz he (rightly) earned during the first half of the season.

More generally, too many times down that stretch it felt like the entire team was passing it around and hoping someone else would make a play. (Too often that "play" would be Delaire deciding to go iso and throwing something up wildly or turning it over.)
