Let me officially point out how wrong I was about the Phoenix Suns. They might have slipped a little, but not much from last season.

Hard for me to believe Utah is a championship contender, but they do have the 2nd best record in the NBA after 13 games.

Stephen A. Smith now calling for the Lakers to trade Anthony Davis AND LeBron James. The problem is LeBron James cannot be traded this season because he signed a contract extension in the off season that gives him more than a 5% raise. I guess it's possible a new CBA could include changing the rules so James can be traded, but unless that happens, he must stay put and suffer on one of the worst teams in the NBA.

I will thoroughly enjoy the Lakers winning the lottery for Wembanyama and watching the Pelicans - who have a pick swap option with their 2023 first round draft pick - say "thank you very much!"
