Must have Charter in your part of Long Beach since Cox and Time Warner both have Pac-12 Networks. The "no way I would switch to Dish" statement is curious. But is EXACTLY what DirecTV believes about their customers. They believe their customers are far too loyal to ever switch away and simply don't need Pac-12 Networks. DirecTV customers don't need Pac-12 networks, and don't really want to watch those games that will not impact the BCS CG race. Although DirecTV took down that language from their Pac-12 statement recently, it is still what they believe.Â
In any event, don't forget to disinfect your computer after the game.
The Pac-12 Networks are already getting far more coverage than the BigTen Networks got in their first year. So the Pac-12 Networks are looking favorable. While a few blindly loyal DirecTV customers may not get to watch their favorite team, the ADs in the conference are probably far more excited about the millions that will come in each and every year. And Stanford has been on Pac-12 Networks more than 25 times now, and most of those sports would never have been carried on any other channel.
So I do believe, even with the DirecTV feud, that most ADs in the Pac-12 would actually say, "Thanks again, Larry!" It is just that they would actually say it in a way that would display unending appreciation for the increased visibility and money.
