I'll spare all y'all the palace intrigue (we are apparently a broke version of Auburn), but Tech's coaching search is either the tightest no-leak ship ever run, or the worst. Speculation is rampant and GT message boards are an absolute treasure at the moment. A few cool heads among the age-o-phobes. "My God, he has a losing record at Tulane!! And he's freaking 62! Is Batt(man) [new AD] insane?" "Yeah, well if he's on Part B already, maybe we can get him cheaper." (Guys, that's 65.....) Someone even organized a 'peaceful' protest against the hire in front of the athletic building. Geeze, people. Interesting that Geoff Collins - the defacto worst head coach in the history of bad head coaches - was so bad that when the interim head coach, who was Person 1b on the list of evil coaches who needed to be ridden out of ATL on a rail, managed to squeak out a couple of good road wins against ranked opponents, beat Duke (which is pretty decent this year), and kinda hung with UGA into the second half, is the fan favorite despite being part of the problem for the prior 3+ years (his OL was awful) and losing to bad UVA and Miami teams at home.
When I first saw Tulane, all I could think of was this better not be the next Buddy Teevens.

If Ken N. hangs 'em up after the Army game, we'll have the coaching carousel trifecta. My son's annual three-team over/under win parlay was set at 12. Which is exactly where we sit with only Army-Navy on the docket. This might be the third year in a row he hits it dead on.
*The early signing period and portal have wreaked havoc on coaching changes, which are a month earlier than they used to be, it feels like.
