FWIW, for the past few years my first choice as a coach to call, should we be in a position of hiring a new coach, has been Fleck.  He checks more boxes, especially some of those boxes unique to Stanford, than any other potentially available coach does.  The biggest drawback that I can see, and there may be more that I am unaware of, is that his brand of enthusiasm could be viewed as a negative by some, but that worked out well the last time, at least from a football standpoint.
