Maybe so, but I wonder about his comportment. During the Baylor game, he was literally frothing at the mouth, screaming at a ref after a call went Baylor's way late in the game. The commentator mentioned that when Sonny sees the replay, he'll realize he was wrong. . . .

The side judge in PAC 12 games switches sides at half.  At a BG when Dykes was at Cal, sometime in the third Q the side judge remarked to me about how it was nice to be on a sideline where he’s not constantly being chewed on.  Dykes had been screaming at him the whole first half.

Defense was an afterthought to Dykes when he was at Cal.  Going to TCU, where Patterson had been a defensive oriented coach, may have helped him some.

Stanford will not be interested in Dykes.  Nor should they be.
