Fangio supposedly top of the list to replace Demico Ryans if he gets an HC job. Not sure why Fangio would accept a college football DC job.  He’s too highly respected in NFL.

I’m curious why folks think Roman would be a good choice.  He’s been in NFL for 10 years now.  No one has thought highly enough of him to offer an HC job.  He’s had a nice offense - as long as he had Colin Kaepernick  before teams figured him out and Lamar Jackson, who is a Unicorn.  

Besides those still pining away for Harbaugh thinking he’s the closest thing to JH (which there is no reason to believe)  I really don’t see why he’s an ”exciting “ possibility. Although, I do like his run first philosophy and the creativity he shows in the running game. But it’s dependent on a dynamic QB that is a tremendous runner. 

I’d like to here supporters weigh in.  Tell me why I’m wrong. Besides the obvious answer that I usually am……

From what I have read here and elsewhere Roman is someone who I would have on a short list, along with Taylor and Aranda.  I assume he understands what is required of a Power 5 HC and would walk away if he was not prepared to take it on.  His running game acumen speaks for itself.  He knows Stanford.  His NFL connections are a plus.  Here is an article that offers some helpful data and history:

Seems to me Stanford could do a lot worse than hiring Roman.
