Don’t think Petersen was ever in play. Iirc correctly, he said no thanks when we first reached out. The question is whether we lowballed Garrett and that’s why he took his name out (rather than Taylor being the choice among the finalists).
Win, I think you make a fair point. I thought the Haase hire was good at the time. But ultimately, he gets graded on how Haase does. Moreover, Taylor has a similar profile (success at a lower level). Maybe the similarities are superficial, and it will be different. Since the hire has been made, we might as well hope it’s a good one.
