Maryland was able to win on the strength of a dozen three point shots and UConn's 21 turnovers--exacerbated by the injury to Muhl leaving them without a reliable point guard.
Maryland NEVER plays defense. It must be counter to Freise's philosophy.
I watched some of this game too. It literally was a layup line for the Uconn bigs all game. 46 Uconn paint points to 16 for Maryland. Most of the shots were unguarded right under the hoop. Maryland is awful defensively but they got the W. If Uconn was even remotely more healthy, they would have won handily.
