    For about 50 years the Kiilsgaard/Pritchard/Loukas echelon was as low as we would go, and now we'll have an entire QB room that level or worse in the eyes of recruiting rankings. 

And is that 98% or 99% because Stanford NIL deals (or “opportunities,” if you wish) for QBs are paltry in comparison to what other schools are offering?

That would have had nothing to do with Stanford not securing any QB commits for several years after West and McKee committed or slumming with Patu and Daniels. I do think it's a reasonable question for the 2023 class and perhaps a significant part of not getting Lonergan, but the difference between Lonergan and Jackson isn't all that great. I think the main reason we're not getting top 100 QBs is that we stink as a program. Keep in mind that Pritchard-Loukas-Kiilsgaard were the same era.....when we stunk. Stanford's QB recruiting dips when we have a crap product to sell.
