At least one of these cases is under appeal. Three main arguments against conviction:
1) It can't be conspiracy if the alleged conspirators literally don't know each other.
2) Can't be conspiracy if they are competing for the same admissions spots.
3) (my favorite) -- USC already sells admissions spots. Why should this be any different?
