Sanchez is a lousy defensive catcher.
Sabol is a utility player that can catch. He’s not a catcher per se. As a backup catcher, job 1 is defense and handling pitchers. Bat is secondary. If he sticks it’s as a utility player that can be 3d catcher.
As a Rule 5 guy he has to be significantly better than 12-13 to make team out of ST. And then he has to stay with Giants all year. Long odds.
