My main takeaway from the game is that we shot poorly (Brink for sure and even Jump, who was I think under 30% for her threes.), turned the ball over too much, and missed too many FTs and still won it easily, and that after a terrible start. That was not our A game. Defense was generally good for much of the game. We have now seen "good" Jones for several games in a row, so she has clearly gotten over whatever was holding her back early in the season. Belibi was excellent aside from her FTs. So glad she is ok.
UA is a very experienced team, but if you can withstand the defensive pressure, they don't really have a great plan B. They don't have the inside game to really compete with us unless we don't play well. I know it wasn't her day as far as shooting or turnovers, but Brink is very obviously a much better player this season, much improved overall. She will finish better and shoot better next time we play them. I'd be stunned if she didn't. It should be a much harder game at UA later this season. UA doesn't shoot threes, which makes them easier to deal with than some teams that are maybe not as good as they are but who can shoot well.
