I agree on the lack of hiring not being the Prez's fault. But there are plenty of other solutions besides hiring new therapists--contract with local providers, give students access to telehealth providers, etc. A university as rich as Stanford should not have any problem finding solutions to this problem.
A university administration that was committed to improving access to mental health treatment would come up with other ways. The fact that we haven't is ultimately MTL's fault.
