No one here is saying Purdy won’t lead SF to the Super Bowl.  However, the odds are against it happening this year.  He does appear to be a different kinda guy but the playoffs are a very difficult environment.  Even dominant regular season “champions” are vulnerable to a single misplay under the unrelenting pressure of the playoffs.  I am hopeful SF can beat Seattle; however, until Purdy leads the 49ers to a playoff win, he hasn’t.

If you really look at it, the odds are against any team making it to and winning the Super Bowl, given that there are 14 teams (previously 12) and only one can win, so you can probably find major odds against any stat.  Hell, non-rookie QBs also have crap odds given that only one can win a year which means around 10 or 11 or so won't; not 0% odds, mind you, but low enough that you could present it as bad odds.
