I am opposed to firing any college coach midseason because the team is not doing well, no matter how bad. For me the only reason to take such a drastic measure is misconduct of some kind. There are always exceptions - like if half the team went to the AD - but as a general matter I think it doesn't really do any good.
I guess that's the fundamental question - what good could possibly come from firing Haase right now as opposed to the end of the season? Everyone already knows he's gone after the conference tournament already.
