Right. Not suggesting Stanford's suddenly turned into Alabama out there, but they've been able to bring in an interesting prospect and stay in the hunt for other notable ones in the portal. Garrett's comments strike me as excuse-making -- not surprising for the coach so poor he caused the Giants to turn down Daniel Jones's fifth-year option.
