Elizabeth Holmes made an 'attempt to flee the country' after her conviction, prosecutors say
Yeah that's what the prosecutors claim. I've read reports she booked the trip well in advance of the verdict for a close friend's wedding. The government has her passport which she didn't request back. She's asking to remain on bail until her appeal is heard. So I don't know if she was trying to flee the country. If she did, she would get caught and my guess is she knows that.
She planned to attend a friend's wedding yet bought a one-way ticket? And then why did she cancel?
I read she cancelled after the verdict because she wasn't allowed to leave the country after the verdict. I'm not saying I believe her. The one way ticket is problematic. But if she had an elaborate plan to flee it seems she would have bought a return ticket to throw off the authorities.
or more likely her assistant who actually bought the ticket should have bought a round trip ticket
