Treat players as employees and go to the bargaining table.

That’s the choice.

That would be the end of college sports.

Well, it will happen eventually.  Of that, there is no doubt.  The question is when.  I would suggest that by the end of this decade we will see revenue-producing college sports functioning in a collectively-bargained environment.  I also think many schools will opt not to participate at this level.  What happens to the athletic programs at those institutions?  It is anyone’s guess…..
