Actually, BC three blown calls led to touchdowns. And the game is entirely different if that first one isn’t blown. Which also falls on Shanahan.

Not on Shanahan, but the upstairs coaches. Of course, Fox and the NFL weren't able to find that replay in a timely manner which didn't help matters, but I'll leave conspiracy theories for the Ukraine thread and dead Russian oligarchs. . . .

That said, Shanahan clearly should have prepared his team for the possibility that they'd have nobody who could pass the ball. McDaniel would have prepped for that. Allegedly, being a QB is easy, all you need to do is count defenders on one side of the ball.

The giveaway was Adams signaling for a quick snap. Why do that after a long reception if it was a clean catch? Wouldn’t you want to give yourself and the linemen a chance to catch your breath after sprinting 30+ yards and have some time on the goal line play? Should have thrown the challenge flag on a hunch.

And Shanahan definitively saw that how? That's what the upstairs coaches are for, isn't it?

I didn’t say Shanghai should have noticed that. But the TV clearly showed Adams’ gesture. Somebody in the booth should have picked up on that and called down.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, but that was exactly my point. Someone upstairs/in the booth should have called down. Then again, with the "replay assist", a camera angle was clearly missed/ignored. 

If only we had someone on this board with experience and expertise in NFL camerawork and broadcasts who could give us some insights as to why that angle wasn't seen. . . .
