I thought the same thing, but then realized that the plays are scripted. Same play, different location on the field, same outcome?

The game was over when Purdy went out in the 1Q.   The officiating had absolutely no bearing on the outcome of the game.  If you can’t overcome a blown call, you don’t deserve to win.

The Niners had a lot go their way during the second half of the season.  It is unfortunate all the bad luck they avoided in that time frame had to happen in the first half of today’s game but c’est la vie, that is sports.  You gotta take the bad with the good.

Lastly, when the history of this season is written, it will read Shanhan’s best season as the Niner coach and that SF may finally have found a QB who can lead them to their first Super Bowl win since Steve Young.

And just for kicks - if that call isn’t blown, Niners have ball on 40.  The play Purdy gets hurt doesn’t happen. (I know, silly argument.  But I can’t help myself…..).

Agree on Shanahan.  He did a great job this year.

Given that they again tried to block Reddick with a TE even after Purdy was hurt on a play where they tried to block him with a TE, probably.
