On Jones' defense, given the emphasis that VanDerveer places on defense, I have to wonder whether what looks like breakdowns by Jones are by design.

On re-watching the game, it appears that our switching D is a man-zone combo.  Jones frequently looks like she's playing an area rather than a specific opposing player.  

There is no arguing that our defense has been highly successful.  Tara seems to be dialing it in to match our personnel.  My guess is that the bench players that are pulled quickly, sometimes after just a minute or two, are not executing the defense Tara wants to play.
