So far, IMO this is a very civil thread. Apparently, for you a thread about the SU WBB team is "civil" only if it is devoid of criticism of Tara. You seem to regard any criticism of Tara, by yourself or others, as inappropriate. It's obvious why anyone with insider access to a team might be reluctant to make criticism of its head coach and regard doing so as jeopardizing her/his continued insider access. But why do you oppose criticism -- without any name-calling -- of Tara as inappropriate for all posters on this site? As for your claim that "blasting the coaches is not civil when the team is 22-3", that's nonsense. You can argue that criticism of the head coach is not JUSTIFIED when the team has a fine record, but the team's excellent record is irrelevant to whether or not criticism of the coach is CIVIL. When a coach has an incredibly talented roster and a fine record but the team is underperforming, it may be perfectly legitimate to criticize the head coach, e.g., for not getting the team to play together better, for not playing intensely enough, for losing to mediocre teams, for allowing too much hero ball to be played, for blowing too many leads, for playing complacently. or for not improving its caliber of play over the course of the season. Such criticism can be done in civil or uncivil ways. You write as if any criticism of the head coach is UNCIVIL just because the team has a fine record. Whereas, IMO, a fine record doesn't render all criticism of its head coach UNCIVIL any more than a team's having a lousy season's record renders all criticism of its head coach CIVIL.
