Just an interesting aside...generally speaking, the older the average age of a team, the more likely they were to score runs:
Average age, under 26: 4.31 runs per game
Average age, 26: 4.09 rpg
Average age, 27: 4.16 rpg
Average age, 28, 4.20 rpg
Average age, 29, 4.51 rpg
Average age, 30, 4.70 rpg
Cleveland was the outlier on the young end, they were the only team that averaged less than 26 years old.
The Giants and the Yankees were the only two teams with an average age at 30 or older.
