Correct, he was a freshman. There was another freshman, Joshua Pitsenberger, who averaged 5.6 yards per carry (Butler had 3.9) running behind Yale's offensive line (PFF ranked Yale's run blocking fifth in the Ivy League and Princeton's sixth). And correct, Butler's major college football offers were service academies and UMass. I wish him the best as well. Just being realistic about how much we need to measure expectations for a guy who couldn't break 4 yards a carry in the Ivy League or 6.5 yards per carry in high school.
