UCLA’s bench played 51 minutes.  Stanford’s bench played 57 minutes.  Agree that Jones playing all 40 minutes was probably too much, but other than that, I don’t really see much of a difference between how Close substituted and how Stanford did.  Both teams had four players playing 30+ minutes.

BTW,for all the complaints about the fourth quarter offense, we shot 5/10 from the field, 1/1 from three and 4/4 from the line.  The big issue wasn’t our shooting; it was that we didn’t take many shots due to turnovers.
