USC lost to a smaller conference team.  WSU, our conference tournament winner, lost to a much lower seeded team from a smaller conference team.  Not a good look for the conference.  I am on record speculating that the conference is deep with a lot of good teams but is weak in the top half.  If CO loses or struggles, well, that would confirm that suspicion.  I hope my suspicion is wrong.

Well, Colorado just destroyed Middle Tennessee, a team from a small conference which has some good wins (Louisville) and a high NET rating (28).  It's hard to extrapolate the strength of a conference from the first round.  Seeing which teams win two games and get to the Sweet Sixteen will be a better gauge.
