I'd like to make an observation about Maples.  Tonight, the atmosphere was superb.  It was not a sellout but one of the better attended games of the year, and by far the loudest crowd.  The first two timeouts taken by Mississippi were forced by the crowd noise--it was deafening at court level.  I was quite proud of the Stanford WBB community for coming out and supporting the team.  Stanford fans have a reputation for being too polite and somewhat quiet.  Tonight we were loud--much louder than any other game I can remember.   I think the crowd was trying to will the team to victory, to inject it with their energy.  I wish they had been rewarded with a better result.

As someone who follows Stanford Women's Basketball as closely as anyone, I'd be interested to read your analysis of why Stanford had such a dismal performance (on offense) tonight.
