The starting pitchers seem set...I know Kapler has talked about combining Manaea with others...maybe not such a bad idea, but I think there will be plenty of innings to go around once they settle on a starting five, with Junes and the 6th starter acting as long relief. Hoping Luke Jackson will be fully healed by June.
And speaking of fully healed, that OF situation is a Greek tragedy right now. I hope Bryce Johnson gets a shot...leads MLB in stolen bases, 11 of 11. Conforto had a fast start, has cooled off, but leads the team in HRs. But having to use Sabol or Pederson in the OF concerns me. Obliques and hamstrings take a long time to heal, I don't think Haniger will be available until mid-April or May 1 at least. And Yaz has 1 hit in 16 ABs. That ain't good. Hope Kapler gets creative.
I'm not worried about Joey Bart. Four strikeouts in 18 at bats, .278/350/.556/.906. Perez is strong, defensively.
