I think it makes more sense to say that Starbird’s outside shot was more of a set shot than a jumper. That helped her % a lot but made it difficult to get the shot off under pressure. Clark’s outside shot is much more of a traditional jump shot and she’s able to get the shot off while moving.
I agree that Starbird’s outside shot was actually pretty great but because she didn’t elevate, it was easier to close out on her.
