I think it’s because of defense or lack of and or how they are moving In The offense.

And the grounds for thinking that, Bob? It's nice to know WHAT you "think"/believe, but it's more conducive to exchanges of viewpoints if you say WHY you "think" it. 

Here are the six losses:

65-69 to UCLA, and
49-54 to Ole Miss

It seems to me that half of those losses (to USC, UCLA, and Ole Miss) could be reasonably attributed to subpar or worse O (scoring less than 70 points, in two of them less than 50). The other three could reasonably be attributed to subpar D (the losses to South Caroline, UW, and Utah), allowing more than 70 points, in one of them more than 80. So, maybe your viewpoint has merit.
