Clark is probably the best WBB player in a generation--maybe more. 41 points when she was the complete focus of the best defensive team in America. Astounding. I really hope Iowa absolutely dominates LSU.
I am not necessarily disagreeing with you and I think Clark is incredibly talented and totally deserved of her accolades & reputation, underscored by her extraordinary game tonight against the best defensive team in the country (even more amazing when considering her supporting cast is probably not as strong as those around Boston), but how would you compare her against Sabrina Ionescu or Breanna Stewart, both of whom were doing some amazing stuff too, not too long ago?
I was also the most nervous I've been watching a non-Stanford game in a long time. I also share in your sentiments that Iowa blows LSU out on Sunday.
Ionescu was not as dominant as Clark and had a more talented supporting cast. Plus Oregon never got to play their NCAA tournament the year they might have won it so we will never know if they were as good as they were cracked up to be. Oregon had multiple WNBA players on that team. Who else on Iowa will play in the WNBA? Czinano is good but I don't think WNBA good. Stewart was on UConn teams filled with talent. Not at all the same. The lack of supporting cast is what distinguishes Iowa.
