good point Warren. The first transfer free has created what we investors refer to as a free option. This can be affect one's initial choice (I'll go for some school knowing I can always transfer if it doesn't meet my fantasy expectations) or once in school (I'll see what else is there - no harm no foul - if I am not 100% pleased). Agree with others that this combined with the CoVid year has created the explosion; I keep expecting it to calm down but perhaps some degree of normalcy in policy needs to return. Reinstate need for a year off except in certain clear circumstances (such as coaching change) to encourage more forethought, and I like the earlier suggestion of limits on numbers of transfers in any year.

Everyone says Mulkey performed a miracle. She is an outstanding coach who did a great job but the unprecedented nature of the championship in her second year was a function of her ability to completely transform the team via transfers and would not have occurred in more typical times.
