Very well said. I’ve also felt that the Betts family wanted a guarantee of role and playing time, but Tara has never guaranteed that even during the recruitment process. I sure do hope they change their minds and give Stanford another chance, but like you mentioned Mother Betts, has posted some thing’s that makes me think it’s too late. 

Those are some good thoughts.  Based on social media comments by Betts' mom and someone who posted here briefly with apparently inside information, I believe the bridge between Betts and Stanford WBB has been burned.  They don't think there is any guarantee Betts will be the starting post next year and I believe that is a priority.

I hope I'm wrong and by some miracle Betts returns.  I would love to see her progress at Stanford.  By the time she is a senior Betts will be a force under the basket. 

I've read many comments on other message boards that Betts being the #1 ranked player out of high school makes a mockery of the rankings.  I think the rankings metric is potential over a four year college career and in that case you have to wait until after the senior year to evaluate the accuracy of these rankings.
