I must be missing something which is quite possible. The deadline for undergrad transfer applications was March 15. Unless someone has found a cure for cancer I don't see how they get admitted now for fall 2023 matriculation. Tell me why I am wrong.

FWIW while I'm a Stanford sports fan, I don't think Stanford should admit someone just because a person can bounce a basketball and the coach thinks that person will help the team. The student/athlete should be admitted partly for their athletic accomplishments but more so because they can benefit academically from a Stanford education.
One last thought. A student who graduates with a four year degree and applies to another school for a masters is to me not a "transfer student". I think a grad student should be a different category than an undergrad transfer.
