My question about Wilke remains.  Why would she list Stanford among her top 5 when she has to know that Stanford women's basketball rarely uses the portal?

You are misunderstanding why Stanford has not used the portal and may not be able to use it much now.  Try as they might, they still have to get the transfer admitted, which has been very difficult, but which maybe is getting a bit easier, since FB got a couple in recently and WBB got Hamilton a couple of years ago.  This is not a question of want to use the portal or not, it is a question of who in the portal has the grades and whatever else Stanford wants from transfers.  Maybe Wilke is one of the few who can get in as a transfer.  I assume that is a possibility if she is considering Stanford.  This is not complicated.  It is basically the same as recruiting out of HS.  Who can get in?  That is the question.
