Oregon loses both starting guards and post.  Duke loses both starting guards. Louisville loses both Van Lith and Verhurst both starting guards.

This seems to prove the old adage that "the grass is always greener on the other side of each of 361 fences."

By the way, I looked in on some of the Oregon message boards.  Their fans are quite unhappy too.  Speculation that the vast majority of players entering the transfer portal have deals lined up before they do.  Then there was this tweet from Rogers:

college coaches capitalize on better job opportunities and leave a program with no hesitation if the price is right. BUT when an athlete does, it’s a problem. it’s cool when they do it, it’s a problem when we do it…. you know the rest.

I am not happy about many coaches, either.  But for Rogers, apparently, "the price was right."  She would be entirely justified to point out the hypocrisy if students were professional athletes just as coaches are professional coaches.  But we now live in a weird world where the professional/amateur distinction is blurred to the point of vanishing altogether.
