We had Betts committed and were confident about Rice. Now, UCLA has flipped the script and will have both top recruits. Last time that happened was Uconn in 2012 (where top 2 players went to the same college) with Moriah Jeffersen and Breanna Stewart. That duo ended up 4/4 in winning national titles.
Any proof Betts wanted to play for a black coach ? No
Any proof she’s leaving because of playing time predominantly? No
Assuming she left for NIL reasons instead of happiness is again probably unfounded and ignorant .
Maybe look more to the coaching staff and treatment of players and Unkept promises and try to understand how hard a decision it probably was for a kid to leave Stanford after just one season.
Seems like it just wasn’t just her who felt that way either.
To think the allure of being at Stanford trumps everything else is just ludicrous

I’d much rather see Betts at UCLA than Notre Dame. UCLA has never made a Final 4 so this would be Coach Closes most talented roster. Although I still wouldn’t put her in the exceptional coach column.
Totally unfounded and ignorant.

I guess Dawn did not want her. Instead, she can look forward in her junior and senior years to jetting to places like Champagne and Iowa City.
Lauren or her parents, what’s the end goal here? Why hide behind several usernames? Seems kind of mental at this point. If you are going to stay “anonymous” (but not really) without disclosing your problems with the coaches (and throwing several players under the bus that have seemingly only been outwardly kind to you/your daughter), then I am perplexed at your end goals?
Here is my end goal as a bitter alum. I hope your departure pushes Tara into retirement asap and the Athletic Dept then scraps any plans of Kate being transitioned into that job, and they hire a really talented bball coach from the WNBA ranks. If it gets Muir fired, all the better. You leaving accelerates that goal in my mind so best of luck (although not too much against Stanford and teams I like).
As for UCLA, eh, Cori’s staff is better (but I think very little of Stanford’s current staff) but let’s see how you manage sitting through all those “not you, not me, but us” self-flagellation exercises day in and day out that only result in Cori crying, the players crying, the Bruins mascot crying and early exits in the tournaments that matter (and Cori blaming you over her tears) and then report back. Talented roster. No doubt. Heavy post rotation. Heavy. Cori is better at substituting than Tara (but everyone in Division 1 bball is), but there are still only so many minutes available and a lot of post to keep happy.
Edited to add: If they add another All-American on the perimeter, then I will revise my statement above of course(lol). But it’s between Kim and Geno next year (assuming Paige is healthy) and everyone else is playing for 3rd place.
