He stomped on the guy. No matter what precipitated that, he should be suspended and longer than one game. It was a stomp. I'm a big, big Draymond fan and still can't believe it's only one game.

I know it's going to raise consternation on a Bay Area-centric board but the stomp is far more egregious than Dillon Brooks on Payton last year. Brooks committed a hard foul in transition, absolutely a flagrant 1. But the injury and subsequent (successful) lobbying by Kerr about "breaking the code" resulted in his suspension. If Payton isn't injured on the play it's a flagrant 1 and we move on. But Kerr acted like his career was over and it was made into a suspension.

If every hard foul in transition is a suspension then the game changes a lot, especially in the playoffs. I think Draymond and Dillon are both players who live on the edge and I love them for it. Years ago I was shooting from the floor and witnessed Draymond achieve one of the most incredible feats I've ever seen in my sports-filled life: a triple-double WITHOUT points as one of the categories. But he stomped on a guy. I don't understand how that's defensible, no matter the force.
