I wonder how Cori Close sees the current whirlwind of player transfers. My guess is based on this:
• all coaches want to win, some think they can win a national championship, Cori is on board for both, 
• the big money for NIL is probably in the LA market, Cori could wave the prospect for fame and fortune to her potential recruits whether they be in high school or in the portal,
• Cori seems to have a plan — coach the U19, get a highly ranked set of recruits, capture the #1 ranked player in D1, steal another after recruiting her sister,
• Cori is shrewd — she developed a relationship with youthful players, infused in them the idea that, rather than going with an established team they should help build a championship, she knows that recruitment starts with player word-of-mouth,
Cori must be celebrating the portal & NIL. She seems to be working it to a T. And, if the stars align for her, she just might win it all. In any case, her team will be primed to compete with the best of the other budding teams in the Big12.
While, personally, I have never been a fan of her, it seems as though her strategy is going to work. And that has and will affect Stanford for longer than I want to imagine.

All of your points are well taken.  Cori has had many talented players at UCLA in the past and with teams that were destined to complete for a Pac 12 championship, but came up short, some of her better talented teams had to complete with Oregon's juggernaut from a few years ago, but even then UCLA still underperformed, and there were many times where Tara out coached her.  It will be very interesting to see how UCLA does next year.
