Yeah business is business but this is getting tougher re: fan loyalty. Prior to this year's portal, when at the Seattle regionals we bumped into Kevin McGuff at Pike Place Market. Friends we were with wondered how I recognized him - former UW Coach pre- THE OSU. Then watching them play and friend wondered how I knew of Taylor Mikesell's game (OU after MD and before TOSU). And can hardly wait to see this all multiplying.
Agree on Close. Has had amazing talent and underperformed - consistently. So for her, the recruiting and transfer portal may be her lifeline to continue coaching another 10 years.
