The Kings offense pretty much fell apart in this game. You can give the Warriors some credit for that, but the inability to hit a shot when it was available really helped. Against better teams, that won't happen. Against the Kings, on any given night, that won't happen. Lots of those shots the Kings missed were "makeable". Looney doesn't get his 7 offensive rebounds in the 3rd if a few of those went in. The Warriors need to get more from the rest of the team, because Curry can't do this every game (can he?).(04-30-2023, 03:28 PM)Goose Wrote:Not sure what you mean by “current approach “(04-30-2023, 03:08 PM)lex24 Wrote: Curry.
From the body language at the end of game 6, he was very much pi**ed off. I wasn't sure who/what he was mad at, but I was sure he was going to let everybody know that the effort in game 6 wasn't nearly enough. Curry willed it. He made it happen. Some of his teammates didn't play real well. Fortunately, the Kings didn't either. This is indeed a flawed Warrior team, but they (well, Curry) willed their way to a victory. Going forward, they are going to need to simply play better. The current approach is only good for so many trips to the well.
That has nothing to do with approach. Thompson and Wiggins had off night shooting the ball. Curry was aggressive from the get go. He won’t take 38 shots again. He never has before….
But man, the negativity blows me away. They were down two zip in the series. Yet, they “ should have put them away in 6”. Really? Kings were the higher seed and the best offensive team in the NBA. They won games five and seven on the road. This from a team that had the worst road record in the NBA. Will they beat the Lakers? I don’t know. As I said, I don’t expect this team to advance far.
But that was an incredibly enjoyable series. Which they managed to win.
Edit: Negativity might be too strong a word. Expectations probably more accurate.

That has to be a first. Would love to see the odds of that.
