Lepolo and Ogden

      
That's a pretty star-studded line-up of invitees.

PGs who LEPOLO (Stanford, 2022 #71 overall and #14 PG) will be stacked up against:

Kiki RICE               (UCLA, 2022 #2 overall and #1 PG)
Talaysia COOPER   (South Carolina, 2022 #18 overall and #4 PG)
Londynn JONES     (UCLA, 2022 #22 overall and #5 PG)
Hannah HIDALGO  (Notre Dame-bound, 2023 #5 overall and #1 PG)
Kamorea ARNOLD  (UConn-bound, 2023 #6 overall and #2 PG)
Kiyomi McMILLER   (2024 #7 overall and #2 PG)


SF/SGs who OGDEN (Stanford-bound, 2023 #10 overall and #1 SF):

Cotie McMAHON     (Ohio State, Big 10 FOY, 2022 #23 overall and #4 SF)
Juju WATKINS        (USC-bound, 2023 #1 overall and #1 SG)
Jadyn DONOVAN    (Duke-bound, 2023 #3 overall and #3 SG)
Allie ZIEBELL         (Uconn-bound, 2024 #6 overall and #1 SG)

Based on college experience or HS ranking, maybe OGDEN has a better
chance of making the cut. I'm really surprised that there were only
5 wing (SF and SG) type players including OGDEN who were invited.
But that definitely gives OGDEN a better chance.

Here are the 3-point shooting stats for all the PG, SG and Wings who had one year of college:

Lepolo - 67 attempts at 37%
Jones - 133 attempts at 35%
McMahon - 57 attempts at 26%
Cooper - 21 attempts at 24%
Rice - 60 attempts at 22%

If Lepolo has continued to work on her 3-point shooting and performs well at the trials, she might have a shot.  For all the complaining we've had on this board about Lepolo's shooting she still shot a better percentage than any other 2022 guard/wing who is at the trials.  Based on their freshman season, Jones is probably a better shooter since she had more attempts and hit them at a comparable percentage, however McMahon, Cooper and Rice are not 3-point threats and defenses might leave them open daring them to shoot from 3.
