I feel pretty confident saying he will not play well in Game 6 if he has a concussion. The noise, light and chaos of an NBA playoff game, with the general brain fog will make it difficult for him. He’s also a guy who falls to the floor a lot. If Davis was concussed it won’t take a hit to head for him to be visibly impaired again and he’d be more at risk to miss a Game 7 if impairment is observed. Seems like too big a risk to play him in Game 6 to me.
What would the NBA and Lakers do if the medical community reacts in opposition to Davis playing Game 6? Docs and coaches could be worried about young hoopers disregarding concussions as a result of how Davis situation is being handled, yes?
apparently the tnt crew thought it was a flop - one of the funniest they have ever seen. they were laughing hysterically and explained afterwards that they weren't laughing at a concussion; rather the blow from looney was so minor that they were sure he didn't have a concussion and was just putting on a show. that would certainly explain why the doctors in the locker room found him healthy and cleared him.
